Managing vs Eliminating Anxiety

January 29, 2020

I know what you might be thinking.

"Is it really possible to eliminate anxiety?"

The answer is.....yes!!!

However, there's a trick to it.

Most people focus on managing anxiety rather than eliminating it. The practice of managing your anxiety focuses on primarily on symptom relief. This can be done in a variety of natural, medical, and pharmaceutical ways. Although symptom relief is the main goal, there are different paths to get there, and not all of them will be effective in the long-term.

"Man's task is to become conscious of the contents that press upward from the unconscious." -Carl Jung

I prefer to focus on eliminating anxiety rather than simply managing it. It is possible to eliminate anxiety by eliminating your subconscious/unconscious reaction to a trigger. In order to achieve this, you must first identify the trigger that is causing a stress response in your body. This method isn't necessarily the easiest because it requires you to dig a little into your mind and feelings. However, it offers the best outcome for long-term relief.

Sometimes, anxiety sneaks up on you out of the blue. When this happens, your mind is reacting to something it perceives as a threat. The next time you start to feel anxious, stop and take a deep breath. Try and use your conscious or logical brain to list out the following:

1) When did the anxiety start?

2) Who was around you when you started to feel bad? What did they say?

3) Where were you, and what were you doing when the anxiety began?

4) What thoughts were you thinking when you began to feel anxious?

This kind of awareness is crucial to helping you solve the mystery of what kind of trigger you may be reacting to.

If this seems a little daunting, or you haven't been able to solve the mystery on your own, then call in the calvary  (i.e. ME!) to help you sort through what might be causing the problem. Neuro-Emotional Technique (N.E.T.) involves a unique method to help you determine what trigger your body is reacting to by identifying the trapped stress, why it's causing you to react, and helps you eliminate the trigger through a specialized re-alignment technique.

Instead of just managing your anxiety, I believe you deserve better! I want you to live your best life without having to worry about symptom management. I want you to feel and believe that you're truly free.

Dr. April Darley resolves stuck patterns of behavior through Neuro-Emotional Technique (N.E.T.). By identifying self-sabotaging behaviors, she can help you regain confidence, improve relationships, remove blocks to health, wealth and success in any area of your life.
